The Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), also known as Fuel Assistance, provides direct payments to fuel vendors on behalf of income eligible households for electricity, oil, kerosene, LP gas, coal, wood and wood pellets. Renters may apply for LIHEAP even if their heat is included in their rent. Households may choose their dealer. Applications are accepted August 1 though April 30 each year. Serves Franklin County.
