South Carolina Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) provides home energy assistance to help eligible low-income households meet their home heating and/or cooling needs.

Your Community Action Agency in your county may be able to offer you one or more of the following types of assistance:
    Utility bill payment assistance
    Energy crisis assistance
    Weatherization and energy-related home repairs

We schedule appointments by the week. Please call on Tuesday mornings at 8:30 a.m. for our Aiken Office to schedule an appointment for assistance with your electricity bill through our Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).

For rental assistance through our General Emergency Assistance Program (GEAP), please call on Tuesday mornings at 8:30 a.m. for our Aiken Officeto schedule an appointment.

Barnwell, and

Lexington counties.

Weatherization is available to residents eligible for the program in the following counties:

Aiken, Allendale, Bamberg, Barnwell, Calhoun, Greenville, Hampton, Richland, and Lexington.
