SERVICE: Short-term assistance to families with children under 21 years in crisis. Assistance issued for: shelter; transportation; home repairs; replacement or repair of necessary appliances and furniture; in-kind goods such as clothing, blankets, food, and outpatient medical expenses such as prescriptions, eyeglasses or doctors visits if the expenses are not covered by Medicaid or the individual in need is not certified/authorized for Medicaid. The maximum payment is $500 during a consecutive 30-day period within 12 consecutive months. Counties served: Union County
