The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) provides money to help low-income homeowners and renters pay for heating costs. The LIHEAP program is not intended to pay for all heating costs, but to assist in paying the heating bills. If you cannot afford to heat your home, pay electric bills, or would benefit from energy improvements such as new insulation, a new heating system, or energy efficient appliances, help may be available.
I am not sure my husband and I qualify but would like to know if we do as it is very hard for us to pay for the increase in Oil prices and Electricity. We make just over 2800 a month. We live in a mobile at Town and Country so we pay lot rent, insurance, and our medical insurance is about 500 a month, We use oil and pellets for a pellet stove. Our electric runs about 140-150 , We have a car payment of 400 We have to have a new roof but no funds for that, and oil furnace cleaned . Things are getting out of hand. Thanks!!
