To schedule an appointment for Energy Assistance, call (334)821-8336 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon, Monday through Thursday during the heating and cooling seasons. The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) provides limited assistance in the form of a grant paid directly to the utility company for residents of Lee County experiencing a crisis due to an inability to pay utility bills. Must meet income requirements for LIHEAP. The LIHEAP program also counsels on ways to reduce future utility bills.
The Weatherization Program will assist residents of Lee County with additional insulation, caulking and other services as funds allow for qualifying homes.
Provides supportive services and aids families with direct assistance or with referrals to other agencies for Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and other benefits.
